Salford Ladies Reserves 1 - 3 Dingle Ladies

Salford Ladies Reserves took on Dingle Ladies at home on Sunday, due to a waterlogged pitch at Liverpool the fixture was reversed.

With fierce windy conditions Dingle Ladies started the match with the wind in their favour, Salford was put on the back foot.  Hannah Crowley and Katie Winder defended with true professionalism and Salford held firm.

Salford took an early lead with a through ball from Louise Wakefeild to Ranade Coffey who struck a thunderous shot into the top corner,  1-0 to Salford.

Dingle Ladies pressed and took advantage of the windy conditions, Salford could not hold out and Dingle Ladies scored three goals in quick succession.  Half-time 1-3.

Salford started the second half on the attack hoping to capitalise on the conditions but the wind eased and Salford did not have the same advantage as the Dingles Ladies had in the first half.

With some good passing between Claire Beard and Jodie Power, Dingle Ladies were continually on the back foot as Anne Beagan was released to run the Dingle Ladies defence ragged.

Salford could not put the ball in the back of the net the best chance coming from Louise Wakefield who hit the ball mid way in the Dingle half and the goalkeeper pulled off the save of the day.

Throughout the second half Jess Daly and Claire Beard did some strong defending which  prevented  Dingle Ladies from scoring any further goals.  Full-time 1-3.

Special mention goes to Louise Wakefield who put up a good performance after a long spell out, well done Louise.
