Penwortham 2 - 4 Salford Ladies Reserves

The team travelled to Preston for their game against Penwortham.  Salford started the game quietly with both teams probing one another's defence.  The break through came when just from outside the box Kerry ran at the defence passing two Penworthham defenders to slot the ball coolly passed the keeper, 0-1 to Salford.

The goal changed the tempo of the game and it now became frantic with both teams attacking, Penwortham having their shots on goal stopped by two excellent saves by Sam.  An unfortunate mistake at the back let Penwortham back in the game but it took a solo effort by Tilly to hit the ball from the half way line into the back of the net David Beckham style.  1-2 Half Time.

Early in the second half Salford had taken their foot off the pedal and Penwortham equalised.  Salford picked up their game and went into overdrive with chances from Claire, Tilly and Kerry going wide.  Kerry got her second hitting the ball into the top corner from a through ball delivered by Kay.

With Sam pulling off more great saves to keep Penwortham out, Salford finished Penwortham off with a loose ball in front of the goal latched onto by Kay.  2-4 Full-Time.

Once again another excellent performance from Salford.
